Memorial Day

We went down to Giddings to hang out with the Walls for Memorial Day. Every time we get Nate and James together, they seem to interact more and more. Unfortunately, they were on opposing nap schedules yesterday, so they just got to see each other for a few minutes here and there. It was endless enjoyment! Here are some of my favorite moments.

Don't let him go, Nate!

It's ok. I'm here. Tell me everything.

James teething on the toy bar of his bouncy chair.

I've been watching Nate's teeth buds (I don't think this is the scientifically correct term, what I'm talking about is the outline of the formed tooth beneath the gums) on his bottom gum since Mother's Day, when the fussy teething started. The past few days have been especially bad. I know I can't really complain. He's such a content baby that his fussiness is really nothing to speak of. But, we can tell he feels bad. Hyland's teething tablets have been our best friend. He doesn't care if he's chewing on a teether, a toy, a blanket, a towel, or my ankle, he just has to chew on anything. The tablets help him calm down when it's really bad.

When he got up this morning, it looked like one of his teeth didn't really have much gum over it anymore. It might have actually been partly exposed, but I didn't have time to pin him down and look. When I picked him up from daycare, I was pretty sure that his tooth had broken through the gum. After closer inspection, I can confirm, Nate has a tooth!!! It's on the bottom on his left. In the picture, it looks pretty much the same as the right one, which is still below the gum. But trust me, in person, they are different.
